Bumper-To-Bumper Auto Warranties

2013 Tesla RoadsterA basic auto warranty may state that it provides coverage for your vehicle from bumper to bumper. “Bumper to bumper” means from the front end of your car to the back end of your car and everything that is in-between. However, does the warranty actually provide that coverage? If not, can an extended auto warranty complete your coverage?

Even if you have extensive coverage, be sure to fully read through the fine print in order to see what incidental items are not included in your coverage. There are many incidental items that are not covered by any warranty, but often times, warranties do not list these items very clearly. This can result in you paying for services that you were not aware was not covered in the warranty. Be sure to go through the document in its entirety to ensure that you can be on the lookout for items that may not be clearly and plainly stated in the contract.

When you know what is covered, it is also a good idea to be sure that the coverage will be provided for a sufficient amount of time. Making sure that you have an extended warranty that has provides plenty of coverage for a good amount of time will ensure that you will have peace of mind when you bring your car into the shop for service.
