Used car warranties

When purchasing a used vehicle, one must be aware that the laws governing used cars are very different to new car auto warranties. Used car warranties are covered by the “lemon law” which may differ from state to state. This law was passed back in 1982, and covers replacement of vehicle or refund on cars which are defective.

The lemon law passed, can be very complicated for the average citizen. Often people are confused by this law and do not know what their consumer rights are in relation to a defective used car. There are various avenues available for the consumer when faced with a defective used car, depending on which state the consumer resides. The lemon law may cover suing the vehicles manufacturer in one state and in anther state a consumer may go through a consumer arbitration body to mediate a resolution between the car dealer and the consumer.

If a consumer is faced with a defective car and need to escalate the matter to a consumer arbitration body it may be wise to hire a professional attorney. Used car warranty law can be a really nice support for the people who cannot afford buying a new car. It is a protection for them.
