Warranty for vehicles

Warranty is an assurance given by a product manufacturer to service and maintain the product for the first two years from the date of its sale. During the warranty period, all repairs and maintenance cost will be borne by the manufacturer. The warranty is implemented by the product dealer on behalf of the manufacturer. If a product is found to have a genuine manufacturing defect, the spare part concerned will be replaced by the manufacturer without charging any fee to the customer. There have been instances of the entire product being replaced when found to be defective. Under US law, all consumer products have to be sold with a warranty. This ensures value for money for the consumers. It also means that the consumers’ rights are protected. Warranty for vehicles is also issued. It is called auto warranty.

When the auto warranty period is on, all repairs will be carried out by the vehicle dealer. However, parts and  accessories damaged in accidents cannot be repaired under warranty. A separate fee will be charged to the customer. The auto dealer normally ties up with multiple third party agents to offer warranty service. Check the reputation of the third party service agency before purchasing the auto warranty.
