A warranty is a service under which the product will be serviced and maintained by the manufacturer for a specified period of time. This period is called warranty period. During this period, the product will be repaired and serviced at no cost by the product dealer on behalf of the manufacturer. This concept has been evolved to ensure value for money for the consumer. The short-term auto warranty is available for a period of up to three months while the long-term warranty is available for a period of up to three years. The auto warranty for life is valid till the car is sent for scrap. The auto warranty for life is costlier since it takes care of the vehicle end to end.
