New Environmentally-Friendly BMW Hits Rental Locations
BMW Does Hydrogen
Germany’s BMW has decided it really will produce a hydrogen-fueled model, but not without a trial run. They’re calling it the Hydrogen 7 and it will soon be available to rent in the U.S., Europe, and Japan in 2007. Breaking away from emissions-reduced fueling, the Hydrogen 7 has an emissions-free component, allowing drivers to switch to hydrogen-only emissions for a portion of travel.
So which will it be? Reduced gasoline emissions? Hydrogen hybrids? Tiny Euro-type cars only? That’s doubtful. The auto industry is likely to continue in their venture to produce environment conscious vehicles while the public waits in anticipation for the full unveiling of what the next generation of car will be primarily fueled by. In the meantime, warranties for hybrid cars are being considered and offered to the best of the warranty companies’ knowledge of how long each “trial” will last. Who knows, maybe we’ll all be driving Hydrogen 7s and its knock-off in no time.
