Safeguard Warranty with Lemon Law

The used car warranty law is also known as lemon law. A car is called ’lemon’ when despite of so many repairs and maintenance, the vehicle continues to have defect. Such car is known as ‘lemon’.

The car qualifies to become lemon when the car has been repaired for so many times for the same repeated defect within the warranty period and the defect still persists. Then the car is processed under the lemon law.

There are many issues that we keep in our mind when we have to buy a used car. Similarly, buying a used car warranty for your car would also need homework from your side. You need to work on the repair and maintenance costs that particular car or model would need.

The Used Car Lemon Law is a legal platform for used car warranty buyers if their car turns out to be a lemon and they are left in a shattered and helpless state. Therefore, the buyer of used car warranty law should always check whether their warranty has lemon law clause with it or not. The lemon law necessitates the clause of written warranty from dealers so that they are given actual coverage.

The dealer has to sign the warranty stating the number of coverage that will be provided, such as free of charge repairs and replacement. Also, there is a clause in the lemon law that if the defect remains undone by the dealer after a fixed number of attempts, the warranty states that the owner can get a full refund of the purchase price.
