images-22.jpgIf you’re planning on shopping for a brand new midsize sedan over the weekend, you will be able to choose from several vehicles with 0% financing.  The majority of the current incentives will conclude on Monday, including 36 months of 0% financing on the all-new 2009 Mazda6.  If you read the small type on the deal you will find that it’s “for qualified buyers”, however it is still an excellent deal.  If you are looking for a 60-month plan instead, you can get it for 2.9%, which is also considered a great deal.

Mazda isn’t the only one offering 0% financing.  In fact, almost every competitor is also offering 0% financing all weekend long.  For instance, you can get the 2009 Nissan Altima, Toyota Camry, Hyundai Sonata and Ford Fusion all for 36 months of 0% financing.

Now is a great time to get out and go car shopping.  Not only will you give the economy a boost, but you’ll also get a great deal on financing and a good auto warranty.  Just make sure to do your homework before arriving at the dealership to take advantage of good deals and new car warranties.

How To Keep Children Safe In Your Car

images-21.jpgWhat is important about age 13 that makes it OK for children to finally ride in the front seat of the car?  Are they finally big enough to withstand the impact of an airbag?  Are they at the age where they can behave in the front seat?

A big part of the problem is behavior.  When kids mess with the radio, and play around, they usually aren’t in a proper position when an airbag deploys.  In injuries and deaths, the proximity to the airbag in the front is a huge issue; in addition, proper positioning in the seat is a factor.  By 13, kids are more able to sit still and behave.

Around ages 11 and 12, children are also bigger physically.  This is an issue because it is hard for children to have their backs against the seatback if their feet don’t touch the floor.  This means that they scrunch down putting them in a bad position for airbag deployment.

Kids under 13 need to ride in the back seat for their safety.  It isn’t worth it to put your child in the front and have them injured by an airbag.  Parents are concerned with many things such as new car warranties, auto loans, and maintenance, but most important is the safety of their children.

Misconceptions About Hybrids

images-20.jpgAccording to a recent study by J.D. Power and Associates, there is a great amount of interest in hybrids and alternative fuel vehicles.  In fact, less than 25% of people asked revealed that they would only consider purchasing a car powered by gasoline.

However, there are some misconceptions.  Motorists who purchased a hybrid car expected that they would get a fuel-economy improvement of approximately 28 mpg if compared to a gas-powered vehicle that was similar.  However, in reality, people who bought hybrids only gained an improvement of 9 mpg.  People who bought diesels were similarly disappointed with a 12-mpg improvement, when they actually expected to improve 21 mpg.

A big challenge for vehicles with alternative powertrains is the unrealistic fuel-saving expectations that consumers place on them.  Especially with hybrids, the actual fuel performance of the car doesn’t usually live up to the EPA estimate.  Consumers need to educate themselves about such things as the benefits of technology, maintenance and new car warranties.  Being able to manage consumers’ expectations and lowering the cost of alternative power vehicles will help these cars gain acceptance.

GM Relaxes Its Credit Restrictions

images-162.jpgIn an exceptional instance of noticing an instant impact on customers from federal bailouts, GMAC, which is GM’s financing arm, is going to lower its requirements for credit from a credit score of 700 to 621 to get car loans.  GMAC did some restructuring last week to become a bank, and then secured aid of $6 billion from the government yesterday.

This will most definitely help the GM dealers that wanted to secure other ways of providing credit to car shoppers, including a large agreement with credit unions from the Midwest.  These new requirements will take effect immediately.

So, if you’ve been wanting to take advantage of GM’s Red Tag Sale, but have had credit scores under 700, now’s the time to test drive a vehicle and make a purchase complete with new car warranties.

The Graduated Licensing Program

images-122.jpgWhen a teenager turns 16 years old, they are excited to get their drivers license.  Unfortunately, teens have more driving accidents than any other age group.  For the majority of teen drivers, the question isn’t whether they are going to have an accident, but when they are going to have an accident.

Inexperience is the main reason that teenagers are vulnerable to traffic accidents.  Although 16 to 19 year olds only make up 5.3 percent of the driving population in our nation, they’re involved in 13.3 percent of all of the traffic accidents and 11 percent of crashes that are fatal.

A new program aimed to protect teenagers is “graduated licensing”.  Although the age of licensing is the same, full privileges come gradually.

The program begins with a learner’s permit.  Next, is the intermediate stage, in which teens can drive during the daytime alone, and in the evening they can drive between 9 p.m-6 a.m. with a licensed driver.  Then, the advanced stage comes. This is when teens can drive with no restrictions.

The graduated licensing program is a good step to ensure that our teens remain safe.  However, teens need to protect themselves by practicing safe driving habits and purchasing used car warranties.

Hot Cars For Less Than $25K

images-92.jpgIs it necessary to pay $40K in order to get a stimulating, engaging car?  The answer is absolutely not; there are many vehicles out there that come with a good auto warranty for under $25K.  Here are a few to consider.

The Honda Civic Si is a great choice at $21,110.  This is a high performance car with a sleek shape.  It also sports a sport-tuned suspension that is grippy.  The engine on this vehicle has a 197 hp, 2.0 liter four cylinder I-VTEC.  This car will have you smiling for many miles.

The Ford Mustang V6 Pony Car is a muscle car with a taste of retro.  The Pony Package will give you 17-inch wheels, a rear spoiler, a grille treatment, as well as floor mats and striping.  This is a 210hp V6 that will deliver loads of thrust.

If a convertible is your style, look to the Pontiac Solstice.  This is a 173 hp, 2.4-liter.  This vehicle comes standard with an 18-inch rolling rock, big brakes, and balanced chassis providing an exhilarating open-air experience.

Any of these vehicles will make you think you’re driving a car with a sticker of $40K, when in reality you’ll only shell out less than $25K.  All of these come with new car warranties that will give you peace of mind.

Ford Makes Fill Ups Easier Than Ever

images-62.jpgFord has debuted its new lineup for 2009, and the majority of the models are not only equipped with new car warranties, and numerous safety features, they come with a gas-cap-less fuel tank.  Ford is referring to this as “EasyFuel,” which shouldn’t be confused with “FlexFuel”, which is when a car can use E85.  However, if you get the two mixed up, cars with the EasyFuel system have a warning that E85 won’t flow easily into the gas tank.

When hearing this you may wonder, “Are people too lazy to even screw a gas cap off and on?” but chances are you have actually forgotten a gas cap at a gas station once or twice.  And sometimes it can be annoying to remember if your gas cap clicked properly when you turned it.

If you purchase one of the new 2009 Fords, you may feel a bit strange just taking the pump in and out without doing anything else.  But chances are that you will get used to the convenience after a short time.  Oh, and did I mention that the new 2009 Fords come with a hefty new car warranties.

Tips To Help Your Holiday Trip Go Smoothly

images-111.jpgOne of the family activities that are the most fun is going on road trips.  During the holidays many people are traveling to see family and friends.  Although enjoyable, frustration can accompany families on the road.  Take note of the following do’s and don’ts in order to ensure that your family has a great trip.

The most important thing that you can do is to get your family vehicle a tune-up.  Your vehicle needs to be in top-notch condition.  Nothing is worse than having your car breakdown, leaving you stranded.  This is why an auto warranty is a necessity.

You should plan ahead so that your family knows what is happening during the trip.  This will alleviate stressful situations and help things to go smoothly. In addition, you might want to purchase software to plan your trip and invest in a GPS.  This advanced technology will act as your guide to your desired destination.

Of course, you never know when you will run into speed bumps throughout your trip.  For example, road construction and traffic are inevitable.  However, your trip doesn’t have to be ruined by these inconveniences.  In addition, you can rest assured if you have used car warranties.

Chrysler Teams With Credit Unions To Offer Low-Interest Loans

images-34.jpgEveryone realizes that it is difficult to get credit for a large purchase in this economy.  In fact, many people have opted to hang on to their current cars and purchase used car warranties. To help with this problem, GM decided to team up with credit unions to offer car loans at a low interest to prospective buyers.  Chrysler is now doing the same.

Chrysler has found over 2,500 credit unions in Illinois, Arkansas, Kentucky, Indiana, Louisiana, Michigan, New Mexico, Mississippi, Ohio and Oklahoma that are going to participate in this deal, which will provide consumers with approximately $22 billion in car loans for auto purchases.  And, in addition to the cash back incentives and loans; consumers may qualify to get “Credit Union Member Cash” incentives that start at $500.  And customers should take note that the offer just requires people to finance their car purchase through the credit union; people don’t have to be members of the credit union in order to take advantage of the deal.  However, people do need to be a member of the credit union to get the extra bonus that starts at $500.

The deals are for Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge cars and will go from Dec.16 through June 30.  This will allow more people to get financing for cars and hopefully give Chrysler a boost.
