Use your warranty efficiently

A car warranty is like a promise that a manufacturer makes towards the customer. The warranty states the facts of the vehicle purchased by the individual and the legal implications involved with it, as stated by the manufacturer of the vehicle. All this information needs to be mentioned with complete honesty in the warranty. Thus, it becomes essential for the car owner to understand the warranty and not treat it just like any other piece of paper.

All car warranties do not have the same coverage criteria. The number of items of a car covered by the warranty and the time period for which it is applicable differ in each warranty. The first thing to be done to understand a warranty is to read it thoroughly. Almost all the parts of the car should be covered except for a few minor ones. To get the best from the warranty, the recommended schedules should be followed and the car should have regular preventative maintenance. At times the car manufacturers do not entertain warranties when the fault detected in the vehicle has occurred due to the carelessness of the owner. Also, make it a point to keep all records regarding the car, as proof for reimbursements.
