Used Car Warranty Law is different in each state

The used car warranty law is different in each state. The law covers all used cars purchased for personal, family or household uses. Similar to an auto warranty, the warranty law is extended to vehicles depending on the mileage it has covered. The warranty for used cars differs from car to car.

Only a specified number of vehicle parts are covered under the used car warranty law. They include engine, transmission, drive axle, brakes, steering system, water pump, radiator, generator and starter. For cars that have greater mileage (in excess of 36,000 miles), the warrant applies for a one-month period and does not cover most of the specifications mentioned above.

One thing that is common to used car warranties is that it lacks standardization in terms of law and definition. The most preferred used car warranty is the one that offers warranty for a period of three months or 3,000 miles. This package covers engine, transmission and rear end components. This warranty, will in no way, similar to the warranty given on new cars supplied by the dealer.

Check the best offer under the used car warranty before deciding what you want t buy. The offers are available at all used car markets.
