Used car warranty law is different in each state
The used car warranty law is not the same in every state. Auto warranty laws are applicable to old and new cars. Like new auto warranty; used auto warranty is expanded to vehicles based on the coverage of its mileage. The warranty is different for old and used car and depends on the make of the vehicle. Under the used car warranty law only specific services and parts are covered. They includes transmission, engine, steering system, radiator, water pump, drive axle, brakes, starter and generator. For those cars, which have a covered mileage above 36,000 miles, the warranty applies only for a month time period and many specifications that are mentioned above do not apply. Â
One common thing in these used and old car warranties is that it does not have any standardization in conditions of definition and law. 3,000 miles or three months warranty is the best and preferred by most vehicle owners. This package includes rear end mechanism, transmission, and engine. This warranty is not at all similar to warranties given on new car models delivered which are given by the manufacturers.Â
