Warranty is an assurance given by the auto dealer in association with the auto manufacturer to repair and maintain the vehicle for a period of time from the date of its sale. The auto warranty package comes in various formats. Some packages are meant for short period while some are meant for longer periods. There are also lifetime warranties available. Such warranties are called “warranties for life” and are often offered to high end and luxury cars. Normally, this kind of life time warranty is not given to mid range cars. 
The life time warranty is costly and expensive affair. Though it takes care of entire car, bumper to bumper, the premium paid every year is very high. Under the life time auto warranty package, anything and everything of the car can be replaced. There are only a few third party agencies, which issue life time warranty. Otherwise, the warranty period ranges only up to three years with the maximum being four years. It is up to the car owner to make an appropriate decision on the type of the warranty. It is better to hire the services of an auto consultant before selecting the auto warranty.
